You can hire help to come on a regular weekly schedule or only as needed. Expect to pay about $15-$40/hour for this type of service, depending where you live.

Mayo Clinic doctors trained in blood vessel and brain conditions (cerebrovascular neurologists), blood vessel conditions and imaging (endovascular surgical neuroradiologists), blood vessel conditions and brain surgery (vascular neurosurgeons), physical medicine and rehabilitation (physiatrists), emergency medicine and other areas work together to promptly diagnose and treat people who have had strokes, and to prevent strokes in people who are at risk of strokes.

Removing the clot with a stent retriever. Doctors may use a catheter to maneuver a device into the blocked blood vessel in your brain and trap and remove the clot. This procedure is particularly beneficial for people with large clots that can't be completely dissolved with tPA, though this procedure is often performed in combination with intravenous tPA.

They are giving my son money from his ssa and he has nothing to show for it everytime he gets money he uses it for drugs. he goes looking for receipts and says hes spending it for his daughters but if he buys anything he usually sells it or loses it becuz he gets so wasted on drugs and he does not remember cuz hes mental supposedly but he sure remembers where to get his drugs and where to go til they burn him and take his money.  Then he can go back to around the clock and tell them another lie and do it til hes dead.  But that is not of their concern.  Good luck

Marshall Medical’s Stroke Network team includes the physicians and staff of the ED who are the first line of treatment once a patient enters the ED with stroke symptoms.  Alongside them are Stroke Coordinator Ken Atchison, and Quality Data Analyst-RN Allison Trammell who work to promote the evidence-based guidelines and assist the ED to ensure they are familiar with any new updates. The staff is professional and genuine whose main focus is the client's well being. They are efficient in communicating with us while taking the necessary measures to establishing and adjusting our son's curriculum as he thrives.. We highly recommend BPCF to anyone faced with the difficult decision to place a loved one in someone else's care. Thank you Arnie and Angelina for all you do for our son. He is happy and making great strides and we finally have peace of mind.
To determine the most appropriate treatment for your stroke, your emergency team needs to evaluate the type of stroke you're having and the areas of your brain affected by the stroke. They also need to rule out other possible causes of your symptoms, such as a brain tumor or a drug reaction. Your doctor may use several tests to determine your risk of stroke, including:

Ischemic strokes are the most common. They occur when an artery is blocked and blood flow to the brain is stopped. Caused by build-ups of fatty deposits on the inside of an artery wall which then becomes completely clogged. Ischemic strokes account for eighty percent of all strokes suffered. Some ischemic strokes are preceded by stroke-like symptoms called transient ischemic attacks (TIAs). These may occur months before the stroke. The loss of vision in a TIA may be described as a feeling that a shade is being pulled down over your eyes. The symptoms are usually temporary and improve within 10 to 20 minutes.

Conemaugh's team will diagnose the exact nature and extent of the patient's stroke. With advanced imaging equipment, physicians can identify precisely the brain areas that have been affected and determine the best course of treatment for each patient. Stroke patients are strongly encouraged to follow up with physicians. Patients are at higher risk of stroke or recurring stroke after experiencing a stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA).

Elderly care emphasizes the social and personal requirements of senior citizens who need some assistance with daily activities and health care, but who desire to age with dignity. It is an important distinction, in that the design of housing, services, activities, employee training and such should be truly customer-centered. It is also noteworthy that a large amount of global elderly care falls under the unpaid market sector.[1]
The overall goal of stroke care is to minimize brain injury and optimize the individual’s recovery. Preferential transport to stroke-capable centers has been shown to improve outcomes. Stroke centers are equipped with resources often not available at smaller community hospitals. The presence of specialists, including neurologists and stroke care specialists, multidisciplinary teams experienced in stroke care, advanced imaging modalities, and other therapeutic options make transport to stroke centers the most suitable option. The goal of the stroke team, emergency physician, or other experts should be to assess the individual with suspected stroke within ten minutes.

Given the choice, most older adults would prefer to continue to live in their homes (aging in place).[15] Many elderly people gradually lose functioning ability and require either additional assistance in the home or a move to an eldercare facility.[15] The adult children of these elders often face a difficult challenge in helping their parents make the right choices.[16] Assisted living is one option for the elderly who need assistance with everyday tasks. It costs less than nursing home care but is still considered expensive for most people.[17] Home care services may allow seniors to live in their own home for a longer period of time.

Round the clock care provided a young female home health aide "APPLE". on her first day she appeared very caring and offered to adjust all my sister-in-laws medication. She stated that she was trained in medication, and gave us her phone number to keep us posted. On the third day she was texting myself and my wife all day while we were working. When i returned home i checked the medication as i always do, and noticed that 60 controlled pain medication was missing. When i called her to let her know she was terrified stating that her finger prints were all over every bottle but she didn't take them. When i called to complain they Round the Clock staff were rude and dismissing. I asked to speak to a supervisor they never returned my call. When i called back they just asked if i wanted someone else to come into my home, when i stated no, they became aggressively rude. I will never allow any home health agency into my home. They have ruined the experience for me. Unprofessional, and criminal rating for Round the clock.
